We have extensive experience in critically reviewing and analyzing toxicological literature in order to identify appropriate toxicity data for the receptors and endpoints of interest and estimate benchmark dose levels. This information is combined the results of probabilistic exposure modeling to characterize risks and quantify uncertainties.

Fristachi Scientific Consulting has supported dose-response modeling efforts for numerous chemicals, including chloroprene, n-butanol, t-butanol and cadmium, as identified by EPA in the Integrated Risk Information System (IRIS) program. We were the principal investigator for US EPA probabilistic assessments of human exposure to nitrosamines, organotins and cyanotoxins from consumption of drinking water which were used in the developent of drinking water guidelines.

In addition, we have extensive experience in the application of data from National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES), Food and Nutrient Database for Dietary Studies (FNDDS) and the U.S. Census in conductiong probabilistic exposure assessments.

In every case, risk assessments are site-specific and take into account the latest scientific and regulatory developments for the chemicals of concern.

Fristachi Scientific Consulting routinely conducts ecological assessments to evaluate the ecological effects on individual species, populations, communities, or ecosystems caused by human activities such as the release of chemicals.

Our approach for conducting comprehensive ecological assessments consists of the field-based scoping evaluations, screening evaluations, uncertainty analysis and interpretation of the results. We strive to keep the process flexible while providing a logical and scientific structure to accommodate a broad array of stressors and provide a realistic and complete picture of risk posed by a facility, site, or operation.
